Headteacher's Welcome

I warmly welcome you to the Buckingham Primary School and Nursery website.  We are extremely proud of the nurturing and happy environment we provide for our children and which underpins the strong relationships we form with our children, parents and the wider community we serve.

Our children enjoy learning within our amazing grounds which include a multi-use games area, open green space with large playing fields, forest school, large pond and natural area as well as an incredible performing arts room.  Our wrap-around care begins at 7.30am and ends at 6pm, providing parents with additional support and childcare when needed.

We pride ourselves on being in the heart of our community and provide all our children many opportunities to learn and develop within the context of their home town.  From interviewing local veterans and performing to our Age Concern friends to exploring historical and geographical studies within the town and neighbouring areas such as Stowe Landscape Gardens, we value, respect and appreciate the community our children thrive in.

We have a dedicated team who hold high aspirations for all of our children and work hard to ensure they are happy and successful learners.   We aim for our children to  flourish in to emotionally resilient, confident, life long learners that become the very best that they can be.  We encourage this through our exciting curriculum which is planned to challenge and inspire all of our children.

Home-school relationships are central to our children’s success and we work closely with our parents and carers to build positive relationships that will support children in their learning journey.  This website provides a brief introduction to the unique experiences we offer the children at Buckingham Primary School & Nursery.  With this in mind we extend a warm welcome to both you and your children to visit us and experience BPS for yourselves.
