Science

Through Science teaching and learning at BPS we aim to foster a sense of natural curiosity, a desire to ask questions and find out more.

Through careful planning we help children develop their knowledge through contextual Science to enrich learning and make Science more real, whilst developing skills of scientific enquiry through identifying, classifying, research, exploring, pattern seeking, fair-testing and observing over time.

We also seize opportunities for the pupils to be involved in enrichment activities including marking use of our natural environment, eco club and taking part in workshops at the Royal Latin School.

Within school we also regularly organise science project days and arrange for visitors to come in and inspire our pupils.
