Remembrance November 2017
Year 5 held a very moving Remembrance assembly this morning. They sang to their parents beautifully and with real emotion and conveyed all that they have been learning, including readings of WW1 poetry and stories of Land Girls in a way that resonated with the whole audience. Well done to Year 5 for demonstrating maturity and showing respect for the story they told.
I will be attending the Buckingham Council Remembrance Parade with a group of our Year 5 children to represent our school and lay a wreath at the war memorial.
‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.’
