Mr Gerry Loftus - Co-opted Governor
Gerry Loftus is now a co-opted governor of the school, having been an LEA governor for many years after becoming a Buckingham town councillor. He is currently literacy governor, a position he has held for well over ten years and is on the governing body’s Teaching and Learning Committee. His daytime job is senior lecturer in English language studies at the University of Buckingham. He visits the school quite regularly, usually with university students from abroad, who share aspects of their countries’ culture with Year 3-6 pupils. He has one son, who was once a pupil at BPS and who, next year, will complete his master’s degree in Computer Science at York University.
